[T3] How to get insurance companies to recognize value

I took my Squareback to the local air cooled VW shop and had them write up a
professional appraisal for my car.  When my car was in an accident the other
guy's insurance company took the appraisal very serious, and that is why I
still have my baby -- the insurance company paid around $2000 to bring my
type three back to life.  I could scan and email anyone who would like to
see a copy of the appraisal to maybe "help" their local shop to write them
too.  It was about a page long explaining the condition that the car is in
and what other cars from that year, in a certain condition typically sell
for.
