i found the leak that has been leaving the passenger foot-well wet after a rain. i have only had my 69 fastback a little while, so we are still getting to know each other. While sitting or driving in the rain, I have found a small leak coming from under the dash-pad, over the metal part of the dash nearest to the passenger door. I imagine this is coming form the fresh air venting? Any suggestion how to best get at this area with minimal invasion, or what has failed to allow water to leak in? Also I have a gap between my vent windows, and the main window seals which is allowing water into the inside doors. Will I need new vent seals and window seals, or do you think the vent seals will cover it? or are there other suggestions. Has anyone created an additional drain hole in their door. I have just the one drain in front, and have to park down hill to drain out the doors. I suppose with a good seal, I should not need any! Since I am asking about seals, what do you all recommend to treat old seals that I know will be difficult to replace (rear pop-outs) they are in OK condition, but slightly cracked inside. Is there anything that can help improve their current condition. I know when painting (soon) I may have to reomove and maybe reuse these seals? I will be at the Villa Park, IL bug-fest Saturday. Hope to see some of you there. Also Milwaukee the following week (heard that is a great swap meet!). Driving the FB, but not showing. she is just not worthy at this point.
