PeterP=> I don't have plans to ever show my car, ... =>> majority of people on the list are not "show car people" There are many reasons to show a car, and the reason that's most important to me is to share what you've done with others who are working on their own. Shows are important sources of information of all sorts for people who are addressing problems and making decisions about what car to buy, what's original and what's not, how things are supposed to work, what can go wrong, and how various modifications affect performance and look. Shows are also social events, where I've made many friends and good connections. At the first show I ever entered, a stranger came to me to ask a question, starting the process that led to the purchase of the rarest and coolest car I own. If anyone here thinks shows are all about competition and whose car is "better," I urge you to give it a try -- there's a lot more to it than you think. Sure, shows bring out the competition pervs and the stock pervs and the hi-po pervs and the jaded lawyers with too much money. But the rest of us 'show car people' are pretty cool, and into it for different reasons.
