Being the serious lurker that I am, I have read most every post for quite some time now. I believe the lack of "response" is due to the fact that the overwhelming majority of people on the list are not "show car people" by that I mean they "we" are far more interested in keeping our cars on the road and learning more about the car in general than spending the money/time/effort that is involved in preparing for a show. I've been that route with type 1s and still have my "trailer queen". I enjoy my square back far more than the bug simply because I can drive it anywhere in any kind of weather, no crying over a scratch or parking lot ding.
