KevinH=> Anyone know if kits are still avaible => for both of these carbs? You didn't specify which carbs you're using. If they're stock PDSITs, the kist are widely available, though they're not of German quality.. => Anyone have any advice on installing the kits => for the factory carbs, or how to set them => up and sync them up properly? This is not a difficult job if you go slow; a parts diagram will be helpful, but not critical. A sync tool *is* critical, and syncing is an art usually learned gradually. With a 1776 I'd recommend the 23mm venturis and rejetting while you're in there. In your place I'd go back to the guy who helped you with the crank and pay him well for a good, clean setup to start from. Watch and learn all you can. I would recommend against goofing around trying to get by temporarily at this point, you'll need the fuel to be right if you want this engine to break in properly and last.
