They do have a factory in Europe as well (or did at least), I noticed the muffler on my beetle says "[Walker logo] Europe [part number] Deutschland". This muffler could have come over from Europe some way, even though that doesnt explain the difference. What about the SP2? Do we know what kind of muffler setup that one has? The SP2 did use the type3 engine, that is the only other application I can think of except the T34 and ind. engines.
