Thanks for the reply's, but I still have no clue as to why she will run and then suddenly die. I changed the plugs, dist cap, rotor, But I did spray contact tuner cleaner into the distributor. I guess this might have been a bad idea? I checked the point gap .016" and it seems ok. But I did out the braided wire under the point plate as to see if this would make a better ground. Does anyone have an idea on how to solder this to the upper plate? The small contact is still there but my solder iron is not hot enough I guess. It was running fine until this tune up. I now have a dead battery and I am not sure what to do next, besides charge the battery. Any ideas?
