The puller end was a oval plate that was wide enough to go through the inner part of the bearing. The wide dimension was the same size as the OD of the bearing. The center hole in the plate was slotted, so you could tilt it to get it in, then when you pulled it back, it would straighten up and catch the bearing. It is shown in the Bentley, (but not a good picture) in figures 8-19, and 8-20 in the front end chapter 7. Knowing you Leon, You will figure something out.
