In my experience this may just as well be caused by worn carbs as misadjustment. I have tried to adjust the carbs every possible way on my car, and can still not keep it idling when cold. It can idle in summer though, but never in winter. Warm engine will idle properly, and since I am aware of this, I have learnt the heal-and-toe technique to keep it going in crossings etc. PerL 73 Variant L Ron Arnold wrote: > i have had a cold idle problem , when the car is first started you have to > keep your foot on the gas untill it is warmed up or it will stall , my > question is , is there a way to check the electric choke , also my idle cut > off valve is disconnected would this be any trouble with that ? > > i have tried to adjust the timeing to compesate but that didnt help > > ------------------------------------------------------------------- > Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
