Hey everyone, about those EMPI air cleaners, my Notch had originally come with an oil bath and dual Solexes, I swapped the oil bath for chrome & paper filters. Then I swapped the Solexes for dual Weber ICT's which came w/ black rubber, low profile filters. They seemed to have cr**ped out from all the heat, and now, after reading all the arguments, I'm going back to an oil bath. I'll have to do some maneuvering to get it to fit, but things are looking good. AAR, when the Notch was running, I found a K&N filter at work on one of our "K-Saws", a gas powered saw w/ a circular blade for wood and metal. The saw was a "Cutters Edge" ventilation saw and the filter was labeled "K&N #B045A4" and it was pretty darn near identical (?) to the unmarked filters on the Webers in size/dimension/material, etc. I couldn't find the part # in the K&N parts catalog at the FLAPS, I guess it may be considered an industrial application, perhaps? If someone has access to a really complete K&N catalog, maybe they could shed some light. Just some fodder to masticate on. David Walters '73 1600 L Notchback S.
