I had a brief moment of terror
when I found a large area of what looked like rust globs behind the rear
fender, it turned out to be the material used to cover the seams where the
body and armrest support piece are spot welded together. The seam sealer had
collected dirt and spider webs but cleaned off nicely w/ a little elbow
grease. I'll scrub it down, Extend it and seal it over again.

Look out with that seam sealer gunk that is used under the fenders. Inspect
it carefully! It tends to dry up and letting moist in, causing (and hiding!)
rust in the seams. On my «73 some of it fell off by itself and the parts
that didn't is very dry and cracked. I will have to remove all remains of
sealer and deal with the hidden rust under it before I can preceed with new
undercoating.

Go over it again!
