Has oil leaked or is it leaking from the valve covers. Oil penitration into the
heat exchanger will cause a smell/smoke. Is the end of the exchangers where they
meet #1&#3 tight? Is your oil pump possibly leaking onto the lower part of your
fan housing causing it to be picked up and blown into the fresh air then onto
the hot exchangers. The same can also be said for the end of the crank where the
fan bolts to??
