No, the right one would be 311 937 505 A.

Another way to go would be to do what VW eventually did: fabricate a
metal plate the size of the pushbutton chrome trim and install later 12V
push-pull switches. VW sold a kit like this as a replacement for
malfunctioning pushbutton units. I had to eventually do this on my 63
Ghia when the pushbutton unit gave out (the car had been converted to
12V but I think what did the switches in was just normal wear and tear).
I used a piece of polished aluminum and and bought new 12V Type 3
switches. They worked perfectly and it looked like a factory
installation.
