i went through the work of installing a 1835cc upright in my notch.i cut out for the carbs and fiber glassed around that area, i also installed a rear fire wall.then my oil pressure relief valve stuck, causing my full flow oil lines burst , losing all my oil thus seizing my motor. bummer ! so i took out the fried motor, tore it down , and saw all the bad news. all the bearings were fried ,case seems to be fine, but their checking it out now .it might be salvageable. but is it worth it ? i found a 1983 vanagon with a brand new motor with a bad trans. and i found a 68 squareback motor with a good motor with out carbs for $150. now what should i do on a limited budget? i wanted to start driving my notch but all i got was 50 miles till i fried my new motor. i need to do some thing soon .or if i do the vanagon motor it will turn in to a garage project that i cant drive till the next century. any ad vise would be appreciated liberty / 65 notch __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
