The Dells I've seen actually have a vac port. Problem is the signal is poor, as only one cylinder is served. Add to this a non stock cam and the vac signal is very poor. I did think of adding a reservoir/ accumulator type thing to smooth out the vac pulses, but lost interest. It's possible to get an adjustable vac advance Mallory now. Could be a go-er? I noticed alof of talk recently regarding the use of vacuum advance distributors (here and one of the VW mags). What does it take to setup a set of Dell 40's to offer a vacuum port? I have used a 009 in my past engines and always had to constantly adjust it. I was wondering about trying something different. This would be on a 1776cc motor. ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
