I thought he was referring to the thread not the wrench. I went to the wrecking yard last week and pulled a set of rear 3-point belts (for the Golf), and found all the mounting bolts are M11! You will not find this thread in your machinery handbook. I believe they did this to make sure no-one substituted or messed with these parts (grade 8.8 carbon steel). I could see the same thing with brake parts.
