They make a "stubby" version that needs min. 1" clearance behind it. And can be taped into the sump in an out of the way area, at a level where it will still be immersed in the oil. One possible location would be opposite the thermostat under the pushrod tubes, (or in a deep sump like I plan). Might be better out of the air stream, but I'm not sure, I'll have to read up on this one. I have one I plan to use in a future T3 engine build up. Cost is $16.95 +S/H USD.
