Do not use any washers under the nuts on the oil pump. The red plastic is
there to create a seal around the threads, and to seal against the cover. A
washer would defeat this.
As for the extra sump, extra oil capacity is always a good idea, as that and
air is the only cooling we have. The only thing to remember, is that you
will be reducing your ground clearance considerably. You will have to watch
yourself going in and out of steep driveways, and if you take it off the
highway.
