Subject: [T3] R&P and gear ratios for swingaxle? > Greetings All, > > Could someone tell me the ring and pinion and gear ratios > for a type 3 swingaxle box? > > Any change with year? > > Did all have the 4.125 R&P? The Karmann Ghia had a 3.875 :=} so, if a person could find a Ghia transmission, there you go. Instant more top end, if you have the torque to pull it. BTW, the T-3 automatic has a 3.67 but not the .88 4th gear. It only has 1.0 high gear.
