If it's not too horrible (i.e., has not eaten through any of the multiple skin layers in there) maybe you could spray some Corroless or POR-15 in there. Thin it a little with mineral spirits and put it in a pump sprayer. You might be able to get the sprayer wand in part of the way through the footwell vents and part of the way through the rear, where the plastic bellows connect.
