That is right. the black wire is the ignition, the heavy red is from the
battery, and the smaller red is to the starter.
You should be able to get the tumbler assembly out of the switch assembly.
You do have to take the steering wheel off, and take the turn signal switch
out. There should be a small hole in the side of the lock assembly that you
can push a paper clip, or some small tool into to release it. You should be
able to turn the lock assembly then with a screw driver.
Is your ignition key the same as the door key????? If so, take the door
handle off, and take it to a locksmith, and have him make a key from the
number that is on the door handle.
