I received sun visors from TMI a few weeks ago and they had the same problem. I appreciate the vendors that we have but I thinks its horrible that they advertise items specifically for the Type 3 and when you try to install them you find they do not fit! My solution here was: 1) Buy a short length of aluminum 9/32" tubing 2) Buy a short length of 1/4" wood dowel rod 3) Drive the wood dowel into the aluminum tube 4) Pull the plastic tip (the one that slips into the sun visor clip) out of the sun visor 5) Slide the tube/dowel into the visor and measure length long enough to fully extend into the clip 6) Cut to length and file any rough edges 7) Repeat for other visor The aluminum tubing looks a lot like the chrome "elbow" at the mounting end of the visor and gives this patch a finished look.
