I bought a set of these through ebay ($50 but I think u can do better
nowadays) and installed the right side seal after having the
floorboard/wheelwell work done that I mentioned in the previous post. I'm
not sure what the origins are, but the fit was awesome, to the point that I
ranted about it to my wife who really couldn't give a hoot. Now I can share
the exciting and fascinating details. ;) Like the original old one I pulled
off, these adhere with a metal-reinforced pinch welt, so you just align the
seal at one end and then push it on so it's flush all the way around. No
adhesive! Also, they have the proper downward "bend" (for lack of a better
term) at the edge so the seal will curve at a 90 deg. angle downward where
it meets the fender to channel water/dirt downward. Of course, I was
oblivious to this important fact when I first put the seal on, which meant
that when I installed the fender, the seal was backwards (ie curving up and
not down), which would allow dirt/water in eventually. I spent a very lame
and frustrating hour under there using a plastic bicycle tire shim to try
to pull the seal around at the proper angle without ripping it before
realizing this. Once I pulled the fender back off and spun the seal around
180 degrees (another cool thing about the pinch welt vs adhesive) it fit
perfectly, and I was elated. I plan on installing the other seal (and doing
the aforementioned por15 work) on the driver's side when I have a good
excuse to go in there.

btw/ the other important seal under the fenders is the rubber strip that
fits below the air intake. ANyone know where replacements or compatible
pieces can be found? Mine are hard, cracking and oversprayed...

Cheers,
