I just used a tow dolly to haul my '67 Sqbk to our new house. Using a U-Haul dolly, there was a tight fit for putting the ramp back into the slot. I lifted the side of the car by hand via the rear fender and we got the ramp back in. We did this yesterday. Been moving so I have about a 963 messages to wade through! plus the bus list and 3 truck lists! No more moving. A lowered Sqbk would make it tough to get the ramps back. As for the flat bed ramp truck, the rake angle (correct term?) for the rear as it initially goes up the ramp might make a tight fit, particularly the muffler. The front can present problems too, but the wheels are close to the front. I my case, I have an S&S muffler (POS) that I want to remove anyway. It hit the ground a few times on the travel. I was a little apprehensive about the tires, but realized the muffler was a sensitive indicator. If a tire got low or blew, the muffler would 'indicate' that the rear end had gotten lower! Made it home without incident however. Good luck! Jeff '67 Sqbk -----Original Message----- I don't remember if anyone has answered your question for you, but you should be able to request a flat bed tow truck (so they could pull it up the bed slowly with a cable rather than piggy-backing in with a tow bar. ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- >overhaul, so i cant tow rope it. i have talked to towtruck drivers and they >say my sqbk is too low for them to tow. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
