Re: type3-d Digest V01 #447

Quick question.....I'm in the process of removing my engine, and i was
removing the drive axle. I removed the big lug nut by the brake drum on the
passenger side just fine, but the oneon the driver side would not move. I
use a breaker bar, liquid wrench, and I jumped up and down on it, and it
still did not come loose. Any ideas? Torch maybe? Thanks in advance for you
help.Robert.

Well, I've had to cut them off occasionally. usually you don't have to cut
into the threads, you just need a groove most of the way down to the threads
on two or more sides to relieve pressure (better with three). Then you can
sometimes turn it off. By the way, liquid wrench, wd-40 and all of those
popular ones are nothing but water when compared to ond called "Break Free".
It also goes under the name "CLP" it can often be found at gun shops and the
like. This stuff is amazing. You will never go back once you've used it.
