Well, after an extremely frustrating, (but oddly enjoyable nonetheless - I guess there's just something appealing to being stranded on a dirt road in Ohio when you live in NYC) trip to Jim's in Wisconsin, and then spending a great time with Jim in Madison, I spent the next two weeks driving to Mich and then Canada with my new FI engine and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I owe this all not only to Jim but to all you out there who encouraged me to keep at it, and to the existence of this site - my sweet little car would have been consigned to the scrap heap by now had it not been for this newsgroup. Now I finally feel like I'm playing on a level field. And my car has a new lease on life. My enthusiasm has been rejuvenated. And PS, thanks to all of you who were willing and able to give me a hand during my dark hours in Ohio. I would have never thought that mechanical fuel pump would give out. BTW I have the spare working one if any carbed individuals need one. Also some Weber ICT34 carbs !!!, although actually I'm reluctant to sell them to any type3 owner. It just seems wrong. cheers, Mike -- Mike Wodkowski 72 SQBK Brooklyn ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
