The change to a 2.0L is major; it's a different stroke and a different bore. They also used different heads and case in the OE 2.0. I don't know which parts you can convert and which parts must be changed. The 1.8L is a rather minor conversion, bore only, I think, but there must be other parts involved because the 1.8L gasket set is different and a LOT more expensive.
