Re: [T3] Original or Custom

The old ford to custom - hot rod market is like that. I saw a beautiful car that
was in a movie, Forest Gump I think. A friend of mine showed me a picture of the
car after the new owner got through with. It was a sweet hot rod, but so was it
as the original car that was in the movie. He said that the guy claimed he could
get more money for it as a hotrod than a restored car. Restored $10-15k Hotrod
$25-35k. It's what people want. The folks with the money, looking for the car
they always wanted but could build or buy, are the ones buying the hotrods and
customs.

I think it's basically a different market and group of people. More people
looking for those cars than VW folks, 'specialy type 3.

We are all right and wrong at the same time.. It's your car. but I don't think
anyone will say you are going to make a profit with Type 3's except in ULTRA
rare, original cars, if bought for the right price
