Some time later I met an old boy who claimed to have owned my car, and he said his brother had the car in Africa, and used the external scoops on it for better cooling. Hence the mounting holes. OTOH I had a 1641cc motor with 110 cam and 34 ICT Webers, and never had any overheating trouble even though it was running quite lean. The direction of the louvres might make some small difference in high temperatures and high speeds, but you probably won't notice much. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
