Scrape out accumulated junk and clear the drain hole in the bottom. I get the cooling tin sandblasted and I repaint them with really good catalyzed polyurethane paint. If you have parts that are cracked/broken/rusted, repair them before you paint them. Make sure that you have ALL the parts (except maybe the tiny little bits UNDER the spark plugs; I don't know if carb engines have these at all.) Make sure that you have all the thermostat linkage parts. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
