With twin carbs and a flat engine and 34 mpg (imp), compared with the upright engine Type 2 at about 25 mpg (imp) and higher rpm, I can't believe the flow rate or pressure needs to be more in a Type 3 than a Type 2. On a steep uphill gradient, the fuel flows into the carbs under gravity (so don't forget the electro-magnetic cut-off valves!). Dave.
