Well thanks to a generous set of parents, I got a project car for my b-day (26th). It's a '69 Fasty, originally dark blue but (poorly) painted off-white. The interior is white-ish, but it needs at least one seat cover and a door panel to be good; it could also use a headliner and a carpet kit. The engine isn't running, but that's pretty close to last on the list of things to do. I'm currently stripping the exterior and interior bits in preparation to having the outside stripped and repainted. The pan needs a bit of attention -- no really bad rust yet, but it could get worse if I don't deal with it. I figure I'm going to need paint, seals, interior (1 seat, 1 door, carpet, headliner, dash pad), and a bit of engine work to get in on the road. But overall the car is straight and solid. I'll let y'all know how it progresses.Unfortunately my Mazda Protege 4WD turbo transplant just ate a tranny, so I'm probably going to have to deal with that first. -Frank ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
