Re: Type34 for sale

Just a bit more about the Type 3 Karmann Ghia for sale. It is original
right hand drive, has an original steel sliding roof, has an original
heated rear window, has manual transmission with swing axle rear and 'Z'
bar (although the body has the metalwork at the sides for the mounts for
a CV-joint rear engine carrier) and it is a genuine 1968 model (the
chassis number begins with 348....). It has a totally original
unrestored and almost unmarked black interior. It was bought new in
Britain but spent the first few years of its life in Portugal until the
current owner bought it in England. Bodywork restoration and a respray
was carried out in England before the second (and current) owner
immigrated to Australia some ten years ago. The front suspension has
recently been rebuilt with three new ball-joints - hence the car's
lovely stiff and sold ride.

As I indicated in the last item on this car, I can be E-mailed for
pictures of it.

When I told the current owner that I could not afford to buy it and thus
own three cars, I said I would try and find a good home for his car
because I would like to see it go to someone who appreciates Type3s and
particularly Type3 Karmann Ghias.

Simon Glen
Toowoomba, Australia.
