It is normal for the early clock to wind itself about every 30 seconds.

A small amount of this is normal for any car with a generator, but
your problem with the fuse in the clock may indicate that your
battery is reaching the end of its life. Has it been dead any time
recently when you tried to start the car?

It is very likely that what you have is perfectly normal. It is
impossible to say from a distance, however. Most people connect
a hard high pedal with a good set of brakes, but this really isn't
true. A hard high pedal usually means that the calipers are frozen
and haven't retracted properly.
