Everything sounds like the way I installed it except that NO THE AXLE NUT IS
NOT TIGHT!!  I also rebuilt the rear wheel cylinders and I am going to pull
off the drum to check that there is no leaks and everything looks ok.  For
this reason I just put the nut on sorta tight.  I think you've answered my
question. Thanks!

I should have said 'feels dry' rather than 'sounds dry.'   I think I'm OK
