I have a Brazilian AS 21 case that I'm sending out to be drilled and tapped for full flow. There looks to be some clearance work done inside the case for a stroker crank, but how can I tell if the crank that came out of it is larger than stock? It is counterweighted, but has a VW stamp mark on it. Would it have to be 69mm? I'm also not sure if it needs to be align-bored... it looks to be in good shape, but does it have to be looked at by RIMCO? Also, if anyone is running a Gene Berg full flow kit, do you have to use a stock oil pump to clear the fan housing, or can you go larger? This mystery motor came out of my old sleeper, stock 63 bug which hauled ass, but I don't know any history on it. It has 92mm pistons, ??mm crank, and an Engle 100 cam with stock looking German heads. A good, mild but fast motor. I would prefer 90.5 pistons for cooling reasons, but the budget comes into play. I can't wait to get some motivation into my squareback, but I want to do it right. Any help is appreciated - this is my first complete, case splitting rebuild. -Phil __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get personalized email addresses from Yahoo!
