Working under the assumption that the smaller tie-rod end shanks are the early design, that beam should have the early design disc brakes right? During dissassembly I realized fitting early steering and late brakes together (or vice-versa) would be an easy task so I figure at least one of these axle beams is a hodge podge of parts from different years. From the spindle outward on both these beams they use identical parts. So the question remains, how can I find out which spindles, and thereby which design brakes I'm working with? Thanks!
