[T3] Which brakes?!

    Hello, here's a quick question I hope somebody can help me with.
    I have two axle beams from two different cars of unknown years.  I will 
be using parts from both for my Notch.  I have noticed that the shank 
diameters of the tie rod ends are different between the two.  No biggie, I 
figured one is earlier and one is later.  
    The confusion starts here :  The spindles, brake rotors and calipers are 
the same between the two.  How can I easily tell if these axle beams are 
equipped with the earlier or later disc brakes? 
    One more thing,  the upper stabilizer bars are the same diameter.  They 
measure  ~ .545"  Is this the smaller bar or the Squareback bar?
