 There was a stand at last year's Slough swapmeet selling stainless blades,
and maybe the arms as well. They were in Type1 & 2 sizes of course, but they
may do them for type 3s. You could probably shorten the Type 2 arms if
necessary. Otherwise if you pick up a copy of Practical Classics magazine,
there's a company which advertises assorted chrome & stainless accessories
like mirrors and wipers. Unfortunately I've binned all my old non-VW mags,
so I can't tell you what they're called.

Thinking of mirrors; I need a R/H side mirror for my LHD notch for the MOT
(annual safety check), and the door doesn't have the drilling to fit one.
Does anyone know if the captive nut is likely to be already fitted in the
door, or am I better off going for a clamp-on type mirror? I really don't
fancy the idea of drilling big holes in my door skin.......
