Any hints on how to get the seats out without damaging anything and > once cleaned up, what's the best lubricant for the rails? Thanks! Sometimes this is a 2 person job. One person pushes the seat bottom from the back seat while the other watches the catch next to the tunnel. That second person has to depress the catch with a screwdriver at the right time to allow the seat to come all the way out. Keep the seat coming straight forward all the way until it is off BOTH runners or you'll bend the runners and break the expensive slides that cover them. You should check the runners for straightness with a straightedge before reinstalling or they won't work well. Clean all the rust out of the groove in the seat and use lots of grease in there, any kind. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much?
