Ah, but if it's really quite plain (totally stock) and complete, and
everything is working and in good repair, and if good regular care can be
documented, and if there is not much rust, then I'd say that his asking
price is not out of line.

But if there has been a carb conversion (especially non-solex), or if the
car has a bad interior, or if the seats have been changed out, or if there
is bad paint over a lot of bad body work, or if the engine or brakes need
work, then I'd agree he should be prepared to bargain, especially on the
West Coast USA.
