[T3] disk brake swap and large 5 lug patern

Hope some one has been there done that. I am trying to convert my 64 
Notch over to front disk brakes from a 69 SB. My problem is that I would 
like to keep my Appliance large 5 lug Chrome wheels and not go  to the 4 
lug wheel required by the 69 rotors. I bought a 4 lug to large patern 5 
lug adapter but ran into a clearance problem between the caliper and the 
wheel adapter. I would appreciate any ideas to get around this problem. 
I don't want to go out and purchase a whole set of 4 lug wheels just to 
convert to front disks.
