Can you check for a similar pulse at the ECU coming from the distributor
when the failure occurs? This would verify that you are maintaining
conductivity from the distributor trigger point connection on the
distributor to the ECU.

If you have a pulse going in to the ECU and no pulse coming out going to the
injectors, then I guess you can assume the ECU is bad. (2 bad ECU's in a
row? Strange!)
