I leave the performance engine building to the pros, so I don't know what the cost would be for a kit. For a rebuild bill of my engine see http://www.icbm.org/erkson/personal/engine_bill.jpg. The flywheel is a stock unit as my previous one was lightened. I went back to a stock flywheel for smoother and easier shifting -- particularly for downshifting using the double-clutch method -- as well as smoothing out the engine vibrations. Yes, a lightened flywheel is great for the track but I wouldn't recommend it for cruising/highway driving.
