...If I get the car to stall, can't I just measure the resistance of the sensor? I understand I'd need to take care not to disturb the position of the wire going into the sensor. If I measure a zillion ohms, my sensor is bad, right? Thanks! I think that you'd be getting zero ohms if what people suspect is happening is in fact happening. Just bring the alligator clip, it worked for me in a friend's 69. If the car quits, use the clip to ground the connector, like Keith suggested. If it starts then you're in business.
