RE:[T3] Carb Conversion

Well I'll be honest , I don't have any experience with FI , ALL of my late
model type 3's have been carbed. You can install the mechanical fuel pump or
an electric if you choose.I was getting 21.5-23 around town(lots of city
driving) with webber 34's,didn't have any trouble with it. My wife and I
found this site (the list) and we're glad that we have carbs as it seems that
more people with FI have some sort of trouble with it verses those with
carbs. When I got my 70 square it didn't have all of it's FI parts and it
would have cost more for what was missing than what I paid for the whole
car.I' ve(we) had our type 3 fasty for over 11 1/2 year with the same carbs
(stock solex 32's) on it and they've never given me any trouble in that time
. Every summer I do a carb sync check to make sure of no problems (same day
as full tune up is performed) as the last thing I want to have happen is a
break down on the way to a show or somewhere (taking wife out to dinner).
I'll get off my soap box now , thank you.
