we have all this talk of engine sizes and the such, and I've been thinking of keeping my Squareback, so my thought was that I could put a different engine in it instead of the original since the 1558 needs to be rebuilt (anyone want one for an orignal project? aside from number matching?) what would it involve doing(like chaning of the mounts, transaxle, and gearbox)? and say I wanted something like a 1600cc or higher, what would be your suggestions on where to go, I want something of a median so really it'd be helpful if you guys could help. and Jim if it helps it's a 68 squarback, but it seems the engine was made in Mexico (weren't most of the one's in the america's made from Mexico? or was it just the ones in the west ?)
