It's really best to be sure and measure yours next time you change
the oil.

....Ya know, sometimes all you want is a simple answer....I was
just needing to place an order for parts Tuesday and didn't want to go
through the trouble of removing the sump plate when I was SURE someone
on this list would know the two sizes of pickup tube. I guess maybe if I
had an SP-2 or an Australian Panel Van, I'd be barraged by replies from
some of the tech nerds on the list wanting a complete dissection list
from headlight to taillight. Maybe the answer is to say I've got some
interesting M-code options....food for thought. Anyways I think the ones
of you on this list who are the most knowledgeable should realize we are
supposed to be a family here. No rare options or models required ya know?
I always try to help out whenever possible to the best of my knowledge,
which admittedly isn't as astute as some of you here. Keeping our
vehicles running in a world of decreasing type 3 content means more than
discussing M-codes and Brazilian models over a sifter of brandy and a
nice cuban. Get back to your roots, people. This is not meant to slight
most of the people on this list, for i've found in my months on this list
that there are many MANY people here who have tried their best to answer
even the seemingly stupidest questions I could ask. These are the type
of members and the type of personalities that keep our cars alive. I
know in the past few weeks i've appealed to the tech minds on this site
and asked some question on the list that someone who could tell you the
thread size and pitch for our signal switch assembly screws should have
no trouble answering....no reply. Not intriguing enough, I suppose. Like
I said guys, remember we are a brotherhood here, and all that should be
required is the ownership of a wonderful Type 3.
