Re: Porsche alloys

I have a set of Pedrini's on my 72 Fasty, Which were an option for the 914
(made in Italy I believe). Fit very nice, although I would recommend fitting
a set of 155/15 tyres up front and whatever at the rear I've personally gone
with 185/65/15. You will need longer wheel nuts as the stock are about 1/2
inch to short, (Somebody on the list will know the correct size nuts you
will need). They are a bugger if you want to polish them to mirror finish. I
spent a whole week just doing one wheel by hand with a fine wire wool. In
the end I got sore fingers and painted them. I tried the black and silver
look you get with Empi sprint stars, But they looked crap, and found some
excellent aluminium paint and painstakingly took 2 weeks to get them looking
right.
