[T3] Fixed aux air valve and generator, more pwr...

I was working on my generator , air valve, suspension
and wiring this weekend.

My original generator developed a flat spot on the
comutator so I decided to replace it after finding
out that the armature and two points on the comutator
were shorted. The guy who told me that the arcing I was
experiencing on the comutator was most likely a short
that caused the flat spot was right. My comutator always looked
blue stained from heat and I thought this was normal
even though fan air blows through this. My generator was
always making a whine like it was straining for movement
and my radio always had a whine in FM and a roar on my
mother's favorate AM channel. This gen noise was present
over a year ago and I thought this was normal for this car,
im sorry I thought my car's shortcommings were normal
and not problems to resolve.

After replacing the generator with a good one I reconditioned
from the junkyard, I had more power, faster idle , little better
acceleration and idle when adjusted lower was even more
beautiful and stronger. I have a huge battery (1200 cold cranking
amps) I wonder with the large load of recharging, the load of the
generator short and the terrible DC ripple going to my computer
made my car run odd ,but not bad, sometimes. The ripple probably
screwed with my "computer" and gave it funny pulses that made
my engine change running characteristics day by day and
hour by hour even though it ran well. The generator short with the
battery load probably loaded down my engine speed and ate some
horses in the process. Radio is now rid of all generator noises and
stone quiet in FM.

I got some more ponies now and somehow it seems to run a little
cooler at high speed or is it because of the higher pressure around
here now even though the outside temps hit the 80's. I think
it was the generator the cause of more heat.

I found and solved the problem with my air control valve, it was stuck
and all it needed was a few dips in cleaning solution (gasoline).
The inner valve was crusted with carbon. Now my idle is more
adustable and it stays at the same speed as it warms up. feels like
a new motor now without ideosyncroses. I almost have perfection.

Do you think that the generator can cause enough load to heat up
and load down the engine noticably?
